Wait. What is this? It’s Roof Beam Reader’s 2014 TBR Challenge, in which I read twelve books from my to-be-read pile. Here’s my original post about it.
As I read each of these books (in no particular order), links will appear:
- The Master and Margarita (Bulgakov)
- Under the Net (Murdoch)
- The Shadow of the Wind (Zafón)
- The Children of Men (P.D. James)
- The Ambassadors (Henry James)
- The Slynx (Tolstaya)
- Still Life with Woodpecker (Robbins)
- Pedro Páramo (Rulfo)
- Demons (Dostoyevsky)
- Ragtime (Doctorow)
- Wicked (Maguire)
- The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories (Clarke)
And here are two alternates, in case a couple above end up on my Fail Pile:
- Warlock (Hall)
- Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (Riggs)
Wish me luck!
Best of luck on this challenge! I need to read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Ragtime still too. I really enjoyed Wicked!
Wicked should be one of my very favorite books. I’m not sure why I’ve tried three times to read it and haven’t succeeded yet. This challenge, I think, will change things. 🙂
